Proposed Florida law: Disqualify tax credits for film, TV productions containing nontraditional family values
Associated Press TALLAHASSEE -- Movie and TV productions with gay characters could be ineligible for a tax credit being considered by the Florida House. State law grants tax credits for ``family friendly'' productions -- with no smoking, sex, nudity or bad language. The proposal by Republican Rep. Stephen Precourt of Orlando would increase the credit and expand the field of disqualified productions as those that include any ``exhibit or implied act'' of nontraditional family values and gratuitous violence. Tuesday is the first day same-sex couples can pick up marriage licenses and tie the knot in the city.
