Tony Perkins Continues to LIE About Hate Crimes Legislation
H.R. 1913 – "To provide Federal assistance to States, local jurisdictions, and Indian tribes to prosecute hate crimes, and for other purposes". – is limited to violent crime. Furthermore, ti contains the following:
"Nothing in this Act, or the amendments made by this Act, shall be construed to prohibit any expressive conduct protected from legal prohibition by, or any activities protected by the free speech or free exercise clauses of, the First Amendment to the Constitution."
In spite of that, Tony Perkins, head of Family Research Council refuses to allow the facts to get in the way of his bigotry towards gay people and his agenda of hate. He sent out the following email:
Hate Crimes Legislation to Silence You!
The enactment of so-called "hate crimes" legislation is a long stated objective of the homosexual agenda.
What "hate crimes" legislation does is lay the legal foundation and framework for investigating, prosecuting and persecuting pastors, business owners, and anyone else whose actions reflect their faith.
The House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to mark-up the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 this Wednesday, April 22. They need to hear from you.
Tony has a new website with the remarkable domain name http://www.fighthatecrimes.com/ According to the site:
... we urge you to actively oppose all "hate crimes" bills which allow federal prosecution for crimes based on "actual or perceived" sexual orientation.
Hate Crimes legislation is ultimately a Thought Crime law, allowing citizens to be prosecuted for their religious beliefs.
FALSE — That's a Lie
Hate Crimes legislation is a violation of our First Amendment rights of Free Speech and Free Exercise of Religion.
FALSE — That's a Lie
Hate Crimes legislation creates a special class of people based on their "sexual orientation" or "gender identity."
FALSE — That's a Lie
The Constitutional rights of pastors and religious individuals to peacefully disagree on issues of sexual orientation should be protected.
FALSE — That's a Lie
The future of America is in your hands. Please stop this discriminating legislation from passing.

Everything Tony Perkins said is true. We will not allow you to lie your way from perversion to superiority over us.There is NO NEED for any hate crimes legislation. Doing you people harm is against the law. Just as it is to do anyone any harm. I don't care why they harm only that they do. You wish to be recognized as superior by declaring that harming you should be a greater offense than harming me. NO WAY. You are arrogant people. ARROGANT!!!! Your arrogance will be returned to you tenfold if you continue down this path.
Piss off, ya stupid mongrol. Ya should be hung from the highest yard arm, and made to walk the plank. Me thinks yer a bit light in the sandles yerself! Ya flammin' faggot!!! I hope the your intolerance eats your insides out... slowly rotting your gut like the blackness of your soul. Friggin twit!
If you are going to be critical, it's usually a good idea to be specific as David was when he compared Tony's statements to the actual bill. I gather that you haven't bothered to read the bill either. I have to assume that the facts present an inconvenient obstacle to rebuttal.
By the way:
If someone does violence to you because you are a Christian, that's already a hate crime. Your incoherent gibberish only depicts your lack of curiosity and critical thinking.
